2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the BlueClaw citation checking service
• To manage your account and subscription
• To track usage against your free or paid tier limits
• To communicate service updates or changes
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the product (via Vercel Analytics)

3. Third-Party AI Processing

To provide citation checking, the text you submit (including document content) may be sent to third-party AI model providers for processing. These providers process data according to their own privacy and data handling policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protections, but we encourage you to avoid submitting privileged or highly sensitive information unless you are comfortable with this processing.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for session management, authentication, and usage tracking. We also use Vercel Analytics, which may set cookies to collect anonymized usage data. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.

5. Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With AI model providers as necessary to process your citation requests
• With service providers that help us operate BlueClaw (hosting, analytics, payment processing)

6. Data Retention

Account information is retained while your account is active. Uploaded documents are processed transiently and not retained long-term. Usage logs and analytics data may be retained in aggregate form for product improvement.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements.

BlueClaw is not intended for use by anyone under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
